Amy Winehouse is a famous English R & B singer and songwriter.

Amy was born in Enfield, London, in September 1983. She began playing guitar as a teenager and released her first record in 2003, at the age of 20.

Her first album, "Frank", was nominated for several music prizes and she achieved international success after winning five grammy awards for her second album, "Back to Black". Her hit records include "Rehab", "Love is a Losing Game", and "Valerie".

Amy has had a troubled private life and has often made the tabloid headlines over her battle with drink and drugs. She married Blake Fielder-Civil in Miami in 2007, but they divorced in July 2009. She is currently single, and working on a new album.
